Nils Andenaes

Nils Andenæs is the lead negotiator at the Norwegian library consortium since 2013 and has overseen the transition to transformative agreements. The consortium is based at the Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research (Sikt, www.sikt.no ), and whose task is to implement the government’s policy of open access to publicly funded research launched in 2017. Sikt is also the national coordinator for open access in Norway, hosting the website openscience.no.

Nils has extensive experience of the scholarly communications industry, working for 7 years in management positions in the international academic publishing industry implementing global strategies. He has a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam.

Nils works in close cooperation with the Norwegian consortium Negotiating Council on current open access agreements and future strategies.
